Safety First
Electrocution is now the 2nd most common cause of death of construction workers. The trend is going in the wrong direction – up from 3rd place in 2019 and 4th in 1999. It is one of OSHA’s “Fatal Four” category of accidents that claim the most fatalities on construction sites.
Construction project managers rely on our tools for the peace of mind they provide in the face of multiple potential electrical hazards.
Few injuries on construction sites involve trained electrical workers using the correct tools – substandard installation, inadequate training and unsafe tools and equipment are the key factors that have contributed to current trend.

Working together
Overlap between multiple trades on site, along with being open to the weather, portable generators, and exposed wiring and being open to the weather are compounding factors that endanger workers. Using insulated tools and being trained to use them is one of the critical hazard mitigation measures recommended by OSHA.
Storm response teams tasked with reconnecting power rely on experienced electrical professionals, who in turn need to rely on their tools. In a chaotic environment the peace of mind that comes from having the right tools and equipment is priceless.
